TeamPass-Browser: A Convenient Password Management Solution
TeamPass-Browser is a browser add-on that integrates TeamPass, a powerful password management and sharing platform, with modern web browsers. With this add-on, testing teams and support teams can easily manage and share a large number of passwords.
Unlike other password management tools on the market, which are mostly designed for individual use, TeamPass-Browser allows for role-based access control and hierarchical permissions within teams. This makes it ideal for organizations that require advanced password management capabilities.
TeamPass-Browser supports LDAP login, multi-level folder management, role management, role-folder read-write permission management, and REST API integration. While the TeamPass platform itself is robust, its user interface is not user-friendly. This add-on solves that problem by providing password autofill, password generation, password saving, and password updating functionalities.
Based on the popular KeePassXC-Browser add-on, TeamPass-Browser has been modified to support TeamPass's API. It offers a streamlined and convenient experience for users who rely on TeamPass for their password management needs.
Please note that TeamPass-Browser only supports the following REST API endpoints:
- /read/whoami - lists the current user's information
- /read/mypws - lists the passwords visible to the current user
- /read/myfolders - lists the folders visible to the current user
- /find/item - searches for passwords based on URL and keyword, limited to the current user's visibility
- /add/item - adds a new password to a specified writable folder
- /update/item - updates a password
